Hyderabad now has plenty of studios and freelancers selling "AI videos", "AI content" and "AI chatbots". Most of them have slick websites. Fewer can show you real work they made, explain who owns it, or tell you what happens to your customers' data. These ten questions will help you tell the difference in a single meeting.

1. "Can you show me AI work you actually made?"

Ask for real samples: AI product videos, avatar videos, reels, and a live demo of any WhatsApp bot or AI agent they have built. Watch the full video, not a 3-second clip. Ask which parts were made with AI and which were edited by hand. If every sample looks like a generic template, the work for you will too. You can see our own work, including creatives for ShelfMerch, Zintora, AODX and Keerthux.

2. "Who owns the files, the bots and the accounts?"

You should. Final video files, project files where possible, your WhatsApp Business number, your pages and your website should all be in your name. If the agency builds an AI agent or an automation, ask who owns the setup, the prompts and the data sheets, and what you get if you leave.

3. "Can you make it in Telugu?"

For customers in Hyderabad, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Telugu or Telugu-English content often feels far more natural than English-only. Ask to see Telugu scripts, voiceovers and captions, and if you want a WhatsApp AI agent, ask it questions in Telugu during the demo.

4. "Who makes the work, and is it in-house?"

Ask whether scripts, AI generation, editing and bot setup happen in-house or get passed to someone else. An in-house team can turn changes around fast and keeps your brand consistent from one video to the next.

5. "How many revisions do I get?"

AI makes changes quicker, but not free. Ask how many rounds of revisions are included per video or per bot flow, what counts as a revision, and what a new version costs. Get it in writing before work starts.

6. "What happens to my customers' data?"

This matters most for AI agents and automations. Ask where chats and lead details are stored, which AI tools see them, who in the agency can access them, and how they handle sensitive questions. A good WhatsApp AI agent should hand the chat to a human when it is unsure, not make things up.

7. "How fast is turnaround?"

Ask for timelines per deliverable: first draft, revisions, final files. A good studio can usually show a first AI video draft within days, not weeks. For bots and automations, ask how long testing takes before it goes live with real customers.

8. "What does it cost, and what is included?"

Ask for a clear price per video, per month of content, or per bot build, plus any running costs like WhatsApp API or AI tool fees. Our Hyderabad price guide shows typical market ranges so you can sanity-check a quote.

9. "Will you be honest about what AI can't do?"

AI is great at speed, variety and scenes you can't easily shoot. It still needs human judgement for taste, brand fit and facts. Be wary of anyone who says AI replaces every shoot or that a bot can answer everything. Ask where they would still recommend a real camera or a real person.

10. "Who will I actually talk to?"

You should have one person who knows your brand and answers on WhatsApp, not a ticket system. Ask how fast they reply and who approves the work before it reaches you.

Answers that should make you walk away

  • "We guarantee your video will go viral."
  • "The bot and the files stay with us if you leave."
  • "We can't show samples, everything is under NDA."
  • "Let's sign for 12 months to get the best price."

Frequently asked questions

How long does a creative AI agency take to deliver?

It depends on the work. A set of AI product videos or reels usually takes a few days to two weeks. A WhatsApp AI agent or a workflow automation usually takes one to three weeks, including testing with your real questions.

Should I hire a freelancer or an agency?

A freelancer can be great for one skill, like editing. If you need AI videos, content, a WhatsApp AI agent and automation that work together, an agency with an in-house team is usually faster and more reliable.
